Westport Records 50 Property Sales From $50,000 to $2.8 Million

Fifty Westport property deeds were recorded between July 17 and Aug. 15, ranging from $50,000 to $2.8 million with a median of $765,000; only 27 of the 50 listed a sale price. The period's top sale was 177 Howland Road at $2.8 million, sold by John H. Morrison to Andrew Charles Wert. In a separate transaction, Timothy L. Barreira sold five properties, on State Road, Oakland Street and Russell Street, to Joumana El Khoury Bout Chedid in one day for $875,000 each. Nearly two in five recorded transfers appeared to be within-family or trust transactions, most without disclosed prices.
