Westport property transfers top 50 in August, led by $2.8 million Howland Road sale
Westport recorded 51 property transfers between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, with 21 carrying a disclosed sale price ranging from $92,000 to $2,800,000 and a median of $619,900. The month's top sale was 177 Howland Rd, which sold for $2.8 million on Aug. 14 from John H. Morrison to Andrew Charles Wert. Other notable sales included 1 Puddingstone Ln at $2.1 million and 62 Lighthouse Ln at $935,000. About 30 of the 51 transfers listed no price, many involving matching grantor and grantee surnames or transfers into trusts, meaning the market's true pricing picture rests on a smaller sample of disclosed sales.
