Westport home sale tops $2.8 million as deeds show wide price spread

Bristol County registry records show 51 Westport property deeds filed between July 24 and Aug. 22, with 22 listing a disclosed sale price ranging from $100,000 to $2.8 million and a median of $590,000. The top transaction was 177 Howland Road, sold by John H. Morrison to Andrew Charles Wert for $2.8 million on Aug. 14. Thirteen of the 22 disclosed-price sales fell between $500,000 and $1 million. Nearly half of all recorded deeds this period involved a grantor and grantee sharing a surname or a transfer into a family trust, limiting what the disclosed-price sample reveals about the broader market.
