Westport Deed Filings Show $2.8 Million Sale, Wide Range of Prices in August
Bristol County deed records show 49 Westport property transfers recorded between July 31 and Aug. 28, though only 18 listed a disclosed sale price. Among those, prices ranged from $100,000 to $2,800,000, with a median of $572,500. The month's top sale was 177 Howland Rd. at $2,800,000, sold by John H. Morrison to Andrew Charles Wert. Gifford Road, Main Road and Old County Road each had three recorded transfers. Roughly half of all 49 deeds involved a grantor and grantee sharing a last name, commonly a transfer into a trust, which explains why most transfers carried no disclosed price.
